Identical to the anodized aluminum mounting bar that comes attached to the bottom of your 8″ Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA), this Celestron 8″ Accessory Dovetail Bar can be used to attach accessories such as guide scopes or cameras to the top of your optical tube assembly (OTA). Designed for their larger CGE or Losmandy-D equipment, it attaches using pre-drilled and tapped holes on the top of the optical tube using the provided mounting hardware.
