ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX Overview

Outfit your computer build for high performance with the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX Motherboard as the foundation. Designed for immersive entertainment and demanding creative workflows, this ATX motherboard supports Intel Core Ultra series 2 desktop processors with the LGA 1851 socket and may be equipped to smoothly handle creative applications and AI workloads.

Install up to three M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSDs alongside one PCIe 4.0 drive. Two more M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs may be added using the included DIMM.2 adapter, and there are four SATA III connectors, providing you with plenty of space to store your games library, applications, and multimedia files. The two DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 96GB at 9600 MT/s overclocked speeds. With two PCIe 5.0 x16 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, you can install powerful graphics cards and other compatible expansions.

The rear panel features two Thunderbolt 4 ports that can transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible devices or connect a USB-C compatible 8K displays. There is also a 20 Gb/s compatible USB-C port alongside four 10 Gb/s USB-A ports and four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports that work with 5 Gb/s compatible devices. Internal headers allow you to connect front panel 20 Gb/s and 10 Gb/s USB-C ports. Built-in Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) support and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port provide you with connections to compatible network devices for smooth video streaming and low-latency online games. Windows 11 is required to take advantage of all this motherboard’s features.
